My name is Brenda Taylor, and I'm the owner/operator of Denver's Belle Cookies, LLC. Denver's Belle is a small home business operating in Springfield, VA under the Cottage Food law of the Commonwealth of Virginia, that specializes in home baked cookies. The business is named in honor of the two cuties pictured to the left - Denver and Belle, our "granddogs".
On November 29, 2025, our hearts were broken when Denver crossed the rainbow bridge...he was the most loved dog, and he returned that love in full, right up until the very end. Now he romps in wide open fields, with no pain, and having taken all of our love with him.

At Denver's Belle Cookies you'll find a variety of classic favorites, as well as a many options for decorated cookies, both non-custom and custom. You can view of sampling of prior orders on this website, and new offerings will be ongoing.
As I operate under the Virginia Cottage Food law, I cannot ship, including out of state, but I do offer free delivery within a 15 mile radius of my home, and I can arrange more distant deliveries for a fee.
All cookies are made from scratch with quality ingredients - real butter, chocolate, and vanilla, cane sugar, and no preservatives.
Another restriction of the Virginia Cottage Law is that while I can provide product information and pricing online, I cannot accept orders or payments via this website. My Story
Growing up in St. Petersburg, FL, I learned to bake while watching and helping my grandmother in the kitchen, and baking cookies has always been a favorite pastime. In 1987, I enlisted in the United States Air Force, and after basic training in Texas and technical training in Mississippi, I landed in Montgomery, Alabama, which proved to be a turning point in my life. It was there, on my very first day, that I met Doug, the man who would become my husband. We married four years later, and are the parents of two children, our daughter Jessica, who with her husband Anthony, are the "parents" of Denver and Belle, and our son Michael, whom we lost 10 years ago.
In 2000, the Air Force sent us to Washington DC, where we lived until moving to Northern Virginia after we both retired from the Air Force. For years, I've enjoyed creating large Christmas cookie platters for friends and family in the area, a labor of love that results in me baking approximately 2,400 cookies in the weeks before Christmas, as well as creating and donating cookie platters to benefit the annual St. Rita Catholic School Silent Auction in Alexandria, Virginia.

In March 2025, I retired after nearly 16 years of service with the Department of Defense. It had been a long time dream to start a small home cookie business, and retirement has allowed me to realize that dream.
